Tilda

Tilda is a very special little dog with a big personality. She was living in a small pack of strays fed by local people, but during the lockdown last year, all the dogs except Tilda disappeared. A Swedish lady with a holiday home nearby contacted SOS and asked us to help this little dog.

Poor Tilda was in bad condition with active leishmania and carrying an old injury, possibly a fracture, in her hip or back leg. She was also pregnant with two puppies who were already dead.

Our vet treated her extensively, and she is greatly improved. She is on daily medication as well as a renal diet, and we’re hoping that her next blood results will be good.

She gets on well with the other dogs and is definitely the boss. Sometimes she joins in a playtime in the garden, but she’s happiest sitting on her favourite cushion watching the world go by. Tilda enjoys her twice daily walks and is fine off-lead.

Tilda sleeps in the volunteer’s house and loves curling up on the bed for nighttime cuddles. Everyone loves this little lady.
