Gentle senior boy Jo is one of our latest arrivals at SOS Animals. We collected him from a crowded inland shelter who we try to help out. Constantly overlooked, Jo has lived there since he was six months old, and he really deserves a loving home of his own in which to live out his senior years.

Jo is a big, lovable friendly dog who gets on well with all the volunteers and other dogs at the shelter. He loves fuss but is not at all demanding and is an all-round easy-going boy. He is a joy to walk, ambling along and taking time to sniff and explore.

As an older, bigger dog who has spent most of his life in an overcrowded shelter, he is showing early signs of arthritis and is a little stiff after lying down. This must be taken into consideration in terms of exercise as he would not be suited to day-long hikes or running.

This lovely boy doesn’t need much – just a soft comfortable bed and some tender loving care. In return, he would make someone a loving and loyal friend.

Jo was born around August 2013, weighs 35 kg and is 70 cm tall. He holds an EU Pet Passport and is ready to travel for the right home.
