Fia

Lovely Labrador X Fia arrived at SOS in April 2021 after someone found her running along the main road close to the shelter. She was in good condition, but a mark around her neck suggested that she’d been chained up.

Fia has settled into life at the shelter and is an easy-going and affectionate dog. She gets on well with our various volunteers and the other shelter dogs and walks nicely on the lead. She’s a bit of a couch potato and loves her food, but we’re working on a weight-loss programme.

She’d make a great companion, and we think she’s had a home in the past, although she is not microchipped and nobody has come forward for her.

Fia tested positive for Leishmaniasis, but is being treated and remains asymptomatic. She is around six years old, is 53 cm tall, and currently weighs 25 kg. She is neutered and holds an EU-issued PET Passport.
