Gentle Ella was found as a stray in November 2023 and moved to our shelter in February. She has settled in well to shelter life but is now ready to find a loving home.
Ella has a sweet nature and gets on well with all of our dogs and volunteers. She loves her daily walks and playtime in the garden, although what she loves most is cuddles with our volunteers.
It is obvious that Ella had never been lead trained but this is now going well. She is interested in everything she encounters but is still cautious and will sometimes seek reassurance from her walker. She is still easily distracted but training treats in our pockets is helping with this. Following walks or playtime, Ella likes nothing more than to relax in her bed or one of the dog houses which is typical of Galgo types.
Ella would suit most family situations where she can continue her basic and environmental training with kindness. She could go to a home where there is already another nice calm dog, but would also be happy to be the only dog.
Our vet estimates that Ella was born around November 2022. She currently weighs 15 kg and is 55 cm tall.
She holds an EU-issued passport and is ready to travel for the right home.
