Binke is a beautiful young Podenco whose owner handed him over to SOS after realising that a young, energetic dog didn’t suit her lifestyle. He arrived in February 2021 in great condition and was obviously well-loved but had never received any basic training.

Since moving to SOS, Binke is enjoying life as a dog, and is learning what it’s like to socialise with canine friends and go for walks. He has a lot of catching up to do, but he’s learning every day. We moved him into the volunteer’s house where he is guided by two other dogs. He wasn’t house-trained, but this is improving, and he’s now mostly clean in the house with only an occasional accident.

Binke is an affectionate, playful dog with a lovely energy. At the moment, he needs lots of gentle guidance and reassurance, especially in new situations, and needs to learn how to live life as a dog.

He would suit a family prepared to commit to his ongoing basic, social and environmental training. Having another dog to learn from would be advantageous. He could also be homed with children as he is a loving, fun boy.

Binke was born in June 2020, is 47 cm tall, and currently weighs 21 kg. He is neutered, vaccinated and Leishmania negative.
