Rafa

Gentle Rafa moved to SOS in July after being rescued for unpleasant conditions and he is already a very different dog from the frightened, introverted boy that he was. He has adapted well to shelter life and gets on well with the other dogs, especially his three sweet natured kennel mates, Kylie, Nova and Mabel who have really helped to bring him out of his shell.

He enjoys play-time and has started to take an interest in ball games, loves his twice daily lead walks and is becoming very receptive to affection, kindness and cuddles.

When Rafa first arrived, it was obvious that he was fearful of men so we suspect that something must have happened in his young life to cause this. However, he showed definite signs of over-coming this problem when he fell in love with one of our male volunteers so we are confident that he will continue to progress.

Rafa would suit a quiet home, probably with adults only or at least older children, where he will be given lots of love and reassurance. He may prefer a home with another dog friend although this is not essential.

Rafa was born around June 2016, weighs 14kg and is ready to find a home to call his own.

In September 2017, Rafa flew to Sweden to begin his new life with his adopted family! Good luck lovely boy.
