A lady who used to help at SOS found Reina wandering near a busy roundabout in 2013. She brought her to the shelter, and she has lived here ever since.
Reina is leismania positive, which we manage with medication, but she is prone to skin problems. Stressful or new situations can contribute to these flare-ups, so she lives in the volunteers’ house. She loves the calm environment and likes nothing better than relaxing in her armchair. She is a firm favourite with our volunteers making everyone laugh with her cute smile and funny dance which she does when excited. In true Podenco style, she loves to poke around in the garden hunting for rodents and lifts her characteristic ears at the word “mouse”.
We estimate that Reina was born in 2011.
