Samson is a lovely big dog with a big personality. He arrived at SOS in early 2018 after being picked up as a stray in a poor state of health. He was underweight, suffering from a skin condition resulting in severe coat loss, and had a problem with his eyes. After several months of treatment and care, Samson is in great health. He has put on weight, had successful surgery on both eyes, and we have treated his skin. Except for a few scars on his face, there is no evidence of just how poorly he was. He is leismania positive, which we manage effectively with medication.
Samson is a cheeky boy who loves his food! He also loves as much fuss and attention from the volunteers as they will give him and adores walking in the cooler weather.
Samson is a big bruiser of a dog who really deserves a wonderful home of his own. He will need an experienced owner used to living with a big dog with a big personality. In the right home, Samson will thrive.
We estimate that Samson was born around March 2016. He weighs 30kg, which is his ideal weight and is 54cm tall.
