Oscar came to SOS in late August 2020 from another shelter where he previously lived for nearly three years. Someone found him as a stray at the end of the hunting season, and since he was not micro-chipped,  we think it most likely that he was a dumped hunting dog.

He has settled well at SOS and is a happy, sociable boy who gets on well with other dogs. In fact, he spends most of the day in the garden where he mixes well with the other shelter dogs. He loves people, is very affectionate and confident, and his tail rarely stops wagging.

Oscar walks nicely on the lead and his basic recall training is going well. He goes off-lead with some of our other dogs who have good recall as he takes his lead from them and is quick to learn. He loves toys and food, so reward-based positive training works well!

When he arrived at SOS, Oscar was under-weight, but this is improving. He is in good health and our vet estimates that he was born around January 2015.

Oscar would love a home of his own and would make a loyal friend. If you would like more information, please contact us.
