Ana

Lovely Galgo Ana came to SOS Animals in spring 2021 via another shelter that we help. Abandoned by a hunter, Ana probably had a rough start in life and has the hunting scars to prove it.

Since being at SOS, Ana has revealed her true character and is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves people. She walks well on the lead, and loves her daily walks to the river, where she’ll cool off in the water. She happily spends the rest of the day relaxing in the sunshine or snoozing on the sofa in the volunteer’s house. Mostly, she just wants to hang out with her favourite people.

Ana prefers the company of people to most other dogs, although she was great friends with her kennel mate, Manuel, and misses him since he found a home in Sweden recently. She’d love a family with time to spend with her, and include her in their activities and outings. She is a stable dog with good environmental training, and travels well in a car.

Ideally, Ana would probably prefer to be in an only dog household, and cannot be homed with cats or other small pets due to her breed type and hunting background. She has a lot of love to give and deserves a home where she would be showered with affection.

Ana was born in 2015, weighs 22 kg and is 67 cm tall.
