| Why
we do what we do: Case study 2: Pepa (Female Mon 10/9/07) Pepa was found on the river by two german ladies and brought to SOS. She was in such a pitiful condition that once again we had to make a rush visit to the vet. She was so dehydrated that she needed to be on a drip to redydrate her safely and properly. Blood tests were done and she was found to be suffering from a severe case of anaemia and malnutrition - resulting in a very bad skin disorder. The vet released her into our care 24 hours later with a very big bag of medication indeed! This will be a slow recovery process - Pepa will need a lot of special attention and care |

Why we do what we do:
Case study 1: Narnia the Husky (Female Sun 9/9/07)
A Husky female was brought to the rescue centre by a Spanish family. They
found her in the countryside and would you believe it they thought sh might
need an antibiotic!
(see pictures right, this must rank as one of the biggest understatements
of all time!)
In fact we had to rush her to an emergency vet for a 2 hour operation. As
you can see from these pictures she had a whole roughly the size of an apple
with a deep infection. We were lucky, the vetdid not make the normal charge
but it still cost 175 Euros. However 'Narnia' is making a great recovery!
